Overview

Assistant General Counsel - Office of General Counsel at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Provide practical, timely legal advice on a broad range of regulatory and related matters impacting hospital operations and research programs. Work closely with the VP, Deputy General Counsel & Chief Regulatory Counsel, and other members of the MSK legal team. Responsibilities

Serve as primary point of contact for day-to-day legal advice regarding regulations that impact hospital operations and research activities Interpret and apply federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and guidance, including the Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, Beneficiary Inducement Rule, False Claims Act, EMTALA, and billing/reimbursement rules, as well as requirements relating to price transparency, privacy, information blocking/interoperability, state licensure and scope-of-practice, hospital accreditation, 340B, the Common Rule, research security, sponsored programs, and conflict of interest Provide regulatory support for strategic transactions Assist in investigations of potential regulatory and/or compliance issues Revise policies and procedures in support of efficient and compliant operations Monitor regulatory developments and proactively update key stakeholders Maintain and enhance professional growth and development through participation in professional associations and activities Perform other related duties as assigned Key Qualifications

A Juris Doctorate (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school New York State bar admission or in-house counsel registration At least 4 years of related experience in an academic medical center legal department and/or law firm with a nationally-recognized health care practice Core Skills

Location: hybrid with at least three days on-site at 633 Third Avenue (in NYC) Report to the VP, Deputy General Counsel & Chief Regulatory Counsel Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $149,200-$272,900 annually. Compensation will be commensurate with experience. Closing and Equal Opportunity
