Overview

NY Power Authority (NYPA) is seeking an experienced

IBM Maximo Developer

to support our MAS upgrade and software optimization initiative. The ideal candidate will have 7–10 years of Maximo experience (strong independent candidates with fewer years will also be considered) and a solid technical background in Java, WebSphere, APIs, and Oracle/PL/SQL. This role involves working closely with internal IT teams, business stakeholders, IBM support, and implementation partners to deliver a stable and optimized Maximo platform. Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, configure, and support solutions using IBM Maximo 7.6.x / MAS. Support MAS migration (preferably MAS 8/9) from on-premise to cloud (SaaS). Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into functional specifications. Provide production support, resolve tickets, and troubleshoot issues. Perform configuration changes (Database Configuration, Escalations, Cron Tasks, Domains, Conditional Expression Manager). Develop customizations using Java and automation scripts. Write SQL/PL-SQL scripts and design/develop BIRT reports. Integrate Maximo with external applications (e.g., SAP, Ariba). Work with middleware and infrastructure teams to resolve issues and optimize system performance. Maintain system performance, availability, and security. Required Skills & Experience

7–10 years of IBM Maximo development and support experience (MAS 7.6.x, MAS 8/9 preferred). Strong hands-on knowledge of

WebSphere, Java, APIs, Web Services, Oracle/PL-SQL . Experience with Maximo modules such as

Manage, Spatial, and Mobile . Expertise in integrations, configurations, and automation scripts. Experience writing reports (BIRT, SQL extracts). Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Knowledge of system administration (Active Directory, DNS, group policy, security configuration). Education & Certifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum of 6–8 years supporting IBM Maximo Application Suite. Work Schedule & Requirements

Monday–Friday, 7.5-hour workday (0.5-hour unpaid lunch). Hybrid schedule: 2–3 days onsite in White Plains, NY. Candidate must be

local to the Tri-State area . NYPA provides desktops/workstations; candidates must have personal equipment for remote days. Fully remote work is
