The Muskogee Oklahoma VA is currently recruiting for a Physician - Urologist at the Ernest Childers Department of Veterans Affairs Outpatient Clinic.

Responsibilities

The Urologist provides surgical treatment with urologic injuries and diseases, performs a full range of complete Urological surgical procedures, diagnostic, management, and illness-related counseling services to the Veteran population served by this facility.

They assure the provision of high quality and safety patient care both in and outside of the operating room.

Core Surgery Service/Urology Privileges include the ability to admit, evaluate, diagnose, treat, and provide consultation to surgical or medical patients presenting with illnesses or injuries of the genitourinary system.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate that they have provided inpatient or consultative services for at least 50 patients in the past 12 months.

Applicant must provide documentation of provision of urological surgery services representative of the scope and complexity of the privileges requested during the previous 24 months (waived for applicants who completed training during the previous year).

Recruitment Incentive (Sign-on Bonus): Authorized

Education Debt Reduction Program (Student Loan Repayment): This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP). You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases

Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days annual leave, 13 days sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)

Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in VA contributions

Insurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care

Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory

CME: Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement (must be full-time with board certification)

Malpractice: Free liability protection with tail coverage provided

Contract: No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting

Work Schedule Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm
