Job title: Director of Nursing (Director of Integrated Care) RN Location: Washington, D.C. Employment Type: Full Time Salary Range: $125,000 - $175,000 Department: Resident Care

Overview The Director of Integrated Care - RN is responsible for developing and implementing strategies for resident care, clinical service delivery, and quality assurance in a combined assisted living, memory care and enhanced care environment. Maintains strategic partnerships with executive teams to ensure best possible outcome for resident care. Ensures accurate, timely, and professional delivery of care services to all residents, upholds the Inspīr philosophy and values, and is accountable for resident care-related regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and lead clinical training programs to ensure staff are highly trained and are able to demonstrate proven competencies

Develop and implement departmental goals in alignment with organizational priorities

Foster a learning culture and participate in orientation and training initiatives.

Assesses resident, family and staff needs and develops strategic and operational plans for the provision of resident care and the delivery of all clinical services and programs

Oversees all aspects of resident care and clinical services, nursing care, ancillary services, provider partners and care-related aspects of quality assurance, regulatory compliance, safety and risk management and resident/family/staff satisfaction

Leads and supervises Inspīr health, wellness and care teams to promote best practices and ensure optimal delivery of care and clinical services to all residents

Facilitates and follows evidence-based Standards and Practices, performance standards, and standardized workflows to ensure optimal efficacy, efficiency and outcomes

Collaborates with the General Manager to develop strategy, business plans and budgets that focus on all aspects of clinical and facility operations including setting priorities, staffing models, reducing costs, and maximizing revenue while ensuring outstanding care and services

Assist and facilitate interdisciplinary meetings in partnership with the General Manager and carry out actionable items

Continuously works collaboratively with other Department Heads to identify and develop priorities and goals to address resident needs throughout the community

Collaborates with physicians and vendors to maintain health and wellness of residents within the facility

Works closely with Dir. of Memory care to set agendas and attend monthly Oceana meetings

Works closely with Care Managers to perform care coordination, set up and attend family meetings in their absence

Plays a lead role in addressing and resolving policy and regulatory infractions or violations identified by staff or state regulators including developing and implementing action plans, corrective measures and new policies or Standards and Practices

Uses Key Performance Indicators and business analytics to set goals, drive strategy, inform planning and monitor performance

Performs regular audits to ensure that each clinical department is meeting all Inspīr and state standards and regulatory requirements

Evaluate associate performance as needed throughout the year (ie: RYG) as well as yearly performance reviews

Must adhere to all applicable compliance requirements and Inspīr safety policies and procedures including but not limited to: understanding and mastering state regulations and ensuring compliance at all times; completing required compliance training in a timely manner; reviewing Code of Conduct at least annually and promoting it in the workplace

Promoting the Inspīr compliance program in the workplace; adhering to all Inspīr Policy and Procedures; reporting, promptly and in good faith, any instances of suspected fraud, waste and abuse, suspected privacy and/or security incidents, or any other compliance concerns; and ensuring confidentiality of resident PHI and company proprietary information

What we are looking for

Minimum of BSN-level NY-state licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing, preferably with advanced degrees/training and certification(s)

Minimum of 10 years of senior leadership experience as a clinical director, senior director, director of nursing, or above

Proven experience in senior living, LTC, SNF, and/or home health care

Minimum of 2 years working with elder adult population with complex medical needs including dementia

Has led daily operations of care team
