Nurse Practitioner - Family role at iRecruitMD in California. Responsibilities
Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive health assessments to evaluate patients' physical and mental health, including medical history, symptoms, and vital signs. Formulate differential diagnoses and develop treatment plans. Treatment and Management: Provide evidence-based care and treatment for common acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and health conditions. Prescribe medications, order diagnostic tests, and develop personalized care plans. Preventive Care: Promote health and well-being by educating patients about disease prevention, healthy lifestyle choices, and immunizations. Perform routine health screenings and physical examinations. Health Promotion: Encourage and support patients in making positive lifestyle changes to improve overall health, such as diet and exercise recommendations, smoking cessation, and stress management. Patient Education: Communicate effectively with patients and their families, explaining diagnoses, treatment options, and self-care strategies. Ensure patients understand their healthcare plans and goals. Collaboration: Collaborate with other healthcare providers, such as physicians, nurses, and specialists, to coordinate patient care, consult on complex cases, and refer patients to specialists when necessary. Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed electronic health records (EHR) to track patient progress, document treatment plans, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Continuing Education: Stay updated on the latest medical research, guidelines, and healthcare advancements through ongoing education and professional development. Qualifications
Education: A Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing (MSN or DNP) with a focus on Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) programs is required. Licensure: Must hold a valid state Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license and national certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner in the State of California. Certifications: CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification are often required. Language
Must be able to fluently speak, read and write English. Fluent in Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin), Vietnamese, Spanish and other languages may be required depending on location. Fluency in other languages are an asset.
