An outpatient facility is seeking a Psychiatrist to see their Child and Adolescent population when the current Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist retires. Credentialing takes roughly 2 weeks. About the Clinician's Workday
The role offers flexible hours with scheduling tailored to the provider’s preferences, including a hybrid schedule with telehealth options. The psychiatrist will handle initial evaluations and medication checks, primarily for school-aged children and teenagers, with some referrals from pediatricians, family services, and schools. While there may be a few preschool-aged patients, providers not comfortable with younger children are not required to see them. The position also involves supervising four APRNs, with time divided between supervision and patient care. The team includes APRNs and therapists to provide additional support. Responsibilities
Handle initial evaluations and medication management for child and adolescent patients. Supervise four APRNs; balance time between supervision and direct patient care. Coordinate care with pediatricians, family services, and schools; manage referrals as needed. Provide care primarily for school-aged children and teenagers; some preschool-aged patients may be seen if comfortable. Qualifications
Board Certification in Psychiatry (required). Prescriptive Authority Required: Yes. Experience in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry preferred. Location: On-site clinic in Georgia with potential telehealth options. Case Load/PPD: 4–6 patients per day. Additional Job Details
