Sr. Business Manager, Capital One Shopping (Remote - Eligible). This opportunity is with Capital One's fast-growing consumer app: Capital One Shopping. The Shopping team is developing a new consumer product that aims to change how people buy online. The mission is to deliver a best-in-class shopping and savings experience for millions of customers while driving incremental and sustainable sales for merchant partners. Summary: As a Business Analysis Manager at Capital One, you will apply strategic and analytical skills to major company challenges, collaborate with world-class professionals to develop and test strategies that impact the bottom line, and thrive in a collaborative environment that values insight, responsibility, learning, and innovation.

Responsibilities

Strategic leadership: Develop business strategies to drive growth, profitability, and competitive success for Capital One amid shifting consumer and regulatory demands.

Leadership: May manage and develop 1-2 analysts; coach and mentor associates to develop and retain talent.

Product: Develop and implement new product and pricing strategies for various lending products; lead product-level modeling and analytics.

Marketing: Lead direct-to-consumer marketing efforts for select products and strategic intent for products distributed through the retail channel; build targeted insights to inform design and development of new customer experiences and GTM strategies.

Credit Risk: Drive improvements in credit performance by linking drivers of future trends to historical behavior, creating risk models, and testing hypotheses with rigorous monitoring and analysis.

Execution: Manage and sequence delivery of business initiatives, build requirements, and execute against product strategy; oversee multiple projects concurrently.

Partnership: Collaborate across IT, Sales, Operations, Finance, and others to drive quality, volume, service, and profitability.

Strategic and analytic orientation: Demonstrate decision making and problem solving based on analytics; strong quantitative orientation for marketing and credit risk management.

Leadership and integrity: Exhibit tenacious decision making with a healthy, aggressive yet responsible approach to business.

People leadership: Build and leverage a high-performing team and partner network; foster innovation, drive decisions, and deliver results.

Communication and results focus: Maintain executive-level communication, influence, and the ability to drive agreement; stay focused on short and long-term goals in a dynamic environment.

Thrives in a fast-paced environment: Previous consulting experience is a plus.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Business, Math, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Science, Engineering)

At least 2 years of experience in quantitative analysis

At least 2 years of experience in qualitative analysis

At least 1 year of people management experience

At least 1 year of project management experience

At least 2 years of SQL experience or related data manipulation/analysis experience (e.g., Alteryx, advanced Excel with large data sets)

Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree in Business or quantitative field (Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences, Math, Statistics, Engineering)

5+ years of experience in quantitative analysis

5+ years of experience in qualitative analysis

2+ years of people management experience

2+ years of experience in product development

2+ years of experience in financial modeling

2+ years of experience in economic forecasting

2+ years of experience in project management

3+ years of SQL experience or related data manipulation/analysis experience (e.g., Alteryx, advanced Excel with large data sets)

Salary ranges vary by location and are listed in the posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated.
