Key Responsibilities
PeopleFun is seeking a Senior ML Engineer responsible for developing models and algorithms to personalize in-game experiences, enhance monetisation strategies, and analyse player behaviour. Collaborating with a cross-functional team of engineers, data analysts, and product managers, you have the opportunity to meaningfully contribute on high impact projects at the studio. Responsibilities
Develop models and algorithms to dynamically personalise in-game experiences like level difficulty, player progression, and rewards. Use data-driven techniques to enhance monetization strategies (e.g., in-app purchases, ad revenue) and improve player retention. Design experiments and prototypes to test the viability and efficiency of new AI models. Translate research findings into real-world applications by creating algorithm prototypes in our codebase. Convert prototypes into production level code that can be easily managed and deployed through the ML Lifecycle. Design, develop, and evaluate A/B tests to measure the effectiveness of personalisation algorithms and optimise player experience. Continuously monitor and analyse player data to identify new opportunities for personalisation and improve existing algorithms. Document work clearly and concisely, fostering knowledge sharing within the team. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in applying machine learning algorithms to solve real-world problems. Gaming experience is a plus. Strong understanding of industry standard ML techniques (e.g. Classification, Regression, Clustering, Recommendation Systems, etc) A good command of analytical programming and visualisation languages and libraries (SQL, python and/or R, matplotlib / ggplot etc.) as well as supporting tools and platforms (e.g. git, Sagemaker, VS Code) Experience with software development concepts like CI/CD, Version Control, Containers (Docker & Kubernetes) and proven track record of deploying ML models to production. A strong understanding of statistical concepts (hypothesis testing, sampling, probability distributions). Familiarity with A/B testing frameworks and experimentation methodologies. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data insights into actionable business recommendations. Passion for gaming and understanding of mobile game KPIs such as DAU, retention, ARPU, LTV, and churn. Benefits
