Job Summary The Executive Director, Corporate Development role requires leadership across product development, market analysis, commercial assessments, intellectual property, project and portfolio management, data analysis, process improvement, financial valuations, due diligence, business development, influencing executive leadership, and effective communication. This role is responsible for helping lead, drive and execute growth strategies. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Portfolio responsibilities: assist in leading program and portfolio strategy, translate strategy into execution, align program strategy and deliverables with the corporate growth strategy, lead cross-functional project teams, build cross-functional partnerships, influence senior leadership, and develop key market assessments and portfolio valuations. Long Range Plan: partner with finance to develop and report a 10-year forecast, collaborate with Program Management on budgets for development projects, and monitor pipeline valuations and changes in therapeutic areas. Business Development: scout and identify new M&A and In-License opportunities; lead deal processes; coordinate key business development conferences; manage post-deal integration and alliance management; provide market assessments, financial valuations, and deal term analyses; develop term sheets and definitive agreements; maintain tracking for prospective partners; present assessments to senior management. Supervisory Responsibilities

Leads cross-functionally within the organization; provides leadership aligned with Company Values toward defined Corporate Objectives; guides direct reports in accordance with Company policy. Knowledge & Other Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required with a concentration in a scientific discipline; Master’s Degree (MBA or similar) preferred. 14+ years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industries with demonstrated business development and portfolio leadership skills. Experience in a CNS portfolio; forecasting and financial modeling acumen; P&L development; projects across all stages of the pharmaceutical product life cycle; strong business acumen and understanding of the pharmaceutical life cycle. Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels; demonstrated leadership and accountability across multiple levels without direct authority; strong partnership and problem-solving skills; ability to resolve conflicts and implement creative solutions. Physical Requirements / Work Environment / Travel Requirements

Sedentary work; occasional exertion of up to 10 pounds; requires close visual acuity for data analysis and screen work; not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions. Compensation

Supernus offers a competitive compensation package. The expected salary range for fully qualified candidates is $250,000 - $300,000. The range may be modified in the future and depends on factors such as education, experience, and organizational needs.
