/ SpareBox Storage. This is a hands-on IT leadership role responsible for managing, maintaining, and continuously improving the systems that power the customer experience across our self-storage platform. You will own the full spectrum of IT needs—from facility and headquarters support to system administration, vendor management, and project execution. This role reports to the
Chief Financial Officer
and is based in Denver Tech Center with hybrid working options. We are seeking a capable and proactive technology leader to ensure our systems are secure, efficient, and scalable as the company grows. Responsibilities
Hands-On IT Operations:
Provide direct, day-to-day IT support for all employees, including hardware, software, and connectivity troubleshooting. Cloud and Infrastructure:
Administer and maintain cloud services, network infrastructure, endpoints, and business applications. Identity and Access:
Manage user accounts, permissions, and secure access across systems. Onboarding and Offboarding:
Onboard and offboard employees with proper setup and data security. Documentation:
Create detailed systems and process documentation. Systems & Security:
Administer core platforms (Office 365, Azure/SSO, AWS services), support kiosks, website, APIs, storage management, and payment processing. Security and Monitoring:
Manage tools (Cloudflare, Defender, Atera, Hexnode, Backblaze) to ensure reliability and data protection. Integrations and Projects:
Oversee integrations with third-party services and coordinate technology projects (upgrades, migrations). Vendor Management:
Serve as primary contact for IT vendors, consultants, and MSPs. Documentation and Policies:
Develop and maintain documentation, SOPs, and IT policies. Business partnership:
Partner with leadership to understand business needs and provide practical technology solutions. Training:
Train employees on IT best practices, tools, and security awareness. Qualifications
7+ years of progressive IT experience with at least 2+ years in a lead or sole contributor IT role. Proven ability to
independently manage IT operations
in a small to mid-size company environment. Strong experience with cloud infrastructure (Microsoft 365, AWS), networking, and cybersecurity. Comfortable supporting distributed teams and multi-location operations. Self-starter with strong intellectual curiosity and problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills. Experience in real estate, property management, or related industries is a plus. Compensation and Benefits
Base salary range:
$140,000 - $150,000 per year
with a
10% bonus plan . Annual bonus and other compensation types as applicable. Excellent benefits, including 100% paid employee health plan (medical, dental, vision) with 25% premiums covered for dependents. Generous PTO and holiday plan. Location
