The center serves youth with complex mental and behavioral health needs, aiming to reduce reliance on inappropriate care settings and provide treatment and therapeutic supports during triage, assessment, and family transition planning. The Clinical Director is responsible for providing trauma-informed care services across all assigned agency functions. The Clinical Director directs and supervises the management of clinical programming and related activities at their agency. They will also function as a Nexus management team member with similar responsibilities across all sites. Responsibilities
Program Management & Administration
Provides program management and administration onsite and within the organization through a trauma-informed care lens. Develops, grows, and drives clinical programs and programming consistent with Trauma-Informed clinical best practice, community needs and organization directives. Identifies and analyzes potential or current problems or risk factors at the agency and generates sound alternative decisions. Maintains responsibility for development and monitoring of admission and discharge criteria. Program Policy & Strategy
Participates in the budget development process and retains responsibility for the budget in the clinical area. Investigates and responds to problems in referrals, intakes, and discharges. Responsible for clinical aspects of quality assurance at the agency. Demonstrates conflict-resolution skills with clients, families, and other team members in times of need. Ensures all program policies, procedures, and manuals are current and complied with. Ensures Nexus treatment philosophies are taught and implemented consistently at the agency. Participates in and supports ongoing staff selection, evaluation, and professional development. Ensures compliance with physical and emotional safety policies and procedures involving living areas, buildings, campus grounds, and off-campus activities. Procedure, Training & Compliance
Maintain appropriate boundaries in all interactions with clients and families. Complies with documentation standards including critical incident reporting and informing families as appropriate; ensures licensing and regulatory compliance. Attends and participates in staff meetings, advocating for the needs of clients and families. Performs restraints when applicable based on licensing; reports incidents to proper individuals, including families. Maintains professional, respectful, strengths-based communication with external contacts, families, and clients. Adapts to changing work needs and provides direction as needed. Remains current on required training and certifications. Represents the agency and program, managing internal and external inquiries in conjunction with leadership. Recognizes and values cultural differences in service delivery. Requirements
Required Qualifications and Licensure
Master’s degree in Social Services, Social Work, Clinical Counseling, Psychology, or clinically related field Three (3) years of experience in adolescent, adult and family-based behavioral counseling and/or residential experience Two (2) years of supervisory experience, preferably in a residential setting LICSW, LPCC, LMFT or equivalent licensure Valid Driver’s License Ability to build strong relationships with diverse individuals and communities Open to meeting the cultural needs of individuals or communities Our ICARE Values
