Highlights
Positions are planned for full-time 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday
Part-time schedules and hybrid positions with partial remote options considered
Small or large practices, outpatient primary care & specialty focuses in geriatrics, pediatrics, family or adult medicine
Clinic hours vary slightly, generally open between 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Monday – Friday
Very low shared primary care call – approximately one week per year
Nurse triage system in place, providers are not required to be on-site for call

Penobscot Community Health Care Governed by a board of community volunteers. PCHC is comprised of sixteen practices and program service sites in Maine. PCHC treats the whole person, offering a range of outpatient primary care services under one roof, including: family medicine, dental, pediatrics, geriatrics, mental health, and substance use disorder treatment, rehabilitation, specialty services, pharmacy, and healthcare for the unsheltered. Our integrated medical home model supports our mission and vision in which everyone has access to quality, cost effective health care. Our services support and empower people to advocate for their personal goals and needs and connect with community-based resources. Our success is measured when the health of our community encompasses physical and emotional wellness, personal dignity, and a sense of belonging.
PCHC’s Locations:
North Central Maine, Coastal and Greater Bangor Regions: Historic and scenic landscapes – riverside, mountainside, or coastal - PCHC has it all. Greater Bangor is home to PCHC’s flagship campus and many different service centers. Less than an hour’s drive to Maine’s Acadia National Park and mid-coast region. Bangor is Maine’s third largest city with an international airport. It’s a short drive to Boston (3 hrs.) and Portland. Limitless 4-season outdoor recreational opportunities, arts, culture and family-centered neighborhoods make our region and PCHC desirable for professional families.
