Outpatient Addictions Psychiatrist, Bellevue Hospital About the program
The New York University (NYU) affiliated Psychiatry Service at Bellevue Hospital Center is the largest public psychiatry service in the country and is an integral part of New York City's Health and Hospitals System. We are seeking a Board Certified Addictions Psychiatrist to provide care in our exciting and multidisciplinary outpatient Chemical Dependency Program. The successful candidate will be devoted to providing compassionate care to those suffering from substance use disorders, often co occurring with psychiatric and other disorders, in the context of homelessness, other adverse determinants of health, and involvement in the justice system. The candidate will benefit from participation in an academic environment that includes a range of psychiatrists and other mental health professionals determined to provide the best possible care to patients, regardless of their ability to pay. In addition to direct patient care, ample opportunities exist for medical student, resident, and fellowship education and training, as well as research. Responsibilities
Provide outpatient care for patients in the Chemical Dependency Program. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists and other mental health professionals. Engage in medical student, resident, and fellowship education and training, and participate in research as appropriate. Qualifications
Board Certified Addictions Psychiatrist. Board Certified Psychiatrist. Qualified candidates are eligible for a faculty appointment at a suitable rank in NYU Grossman School of Medicine. Compensation & Benefits
