Role

Applications are sought from experienced educators to join a dedicated Senior School team (Years 11-12) at our

Senior School . The successful applicant will have a strong knowledge of SACE teaching, planning and moderation and the appropriate pedagogy to engage and achieve successful student outcomes. In addition, the person who fills this position will be recognised as an exemplary teaching practitioner and demonstrate excellence in their own classroom performance.

Leadership

The Head of Teaching & Learning Senior (HTL) provides pedagogical leadership to ensure high quality, evidence informed learning experiences for all students. They will: Focus on strengthening teacher capacity, embedding the Trinity Education Model (TEM) in every classroom. ensuring curriculum and assessment are rigorous and aligned with College Priorities. Provide targeted support in instructional design, curriculum development, and evidence informed classroom practice in a Trinity College sub school. Coach teachers, contribute to the operationalisation of teaching and learning initiatives, and champion the integration of research and practice.

Contract and Benefits

The position of Head of Teaching and Learning (Senior School) will be appointed as a five year contract, with an underlying substantive of a full-time permanent teacher. The Level 3 allowance ($19,029) is paid in addition to your teaching step rate (eg Teaching Step 10 $125,789 + POR allowance). This position will hold an 8 lesson allocation.

Required Skills and Attributes

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and attributes: Tertiary qualifications in teaching and verified subjects Current registration to teach in South Australia Have an understanding of and commitment to Christian education. Have the desire and skills to participate in the school's pastoral care programme. Have the desire and skills to participate in the College's co-curricular programme. Be passionate about understanding how learning occurs and teaching pedagogies suitable for senior years students. Have the interpersonal skills to quickly achieve trust and respect from the teaching team. Be able to set high standards for student learning and teacher performance. Be able to lead other staff in the use of appropriate information and communication tools in classroom pedagogy. Deal effectively with the administrative detail of the position. Have the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people both verbally and in writing. Have the knowledge of and a commitment to the principles of equal opportunity and work safety.
