is seeking BC/BE Internal Medicine physicians to see patients exclusively in the hospital setting at
M Health Fairview Southdale
Hospital in
Edina, MN . The hospitalist team provides 24/7 inpatient Internal Medicine care for specialty patients as part of a well-established, co-management structure. M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital is a community hospital with a high level of services, certified as a level III trauma center. Codes and RRTs will be managed by dedicated APRNs/PAs as part of the hospitalist group. Semi-open ICU model with ability to co-manage with University of Minnesota Physicians Intensivists. Procedures and vent management are not required. Open to all levels of experience.
Practice Details
Schedule is evening shifts focusing on admitting
10 hour shift starting at 3p
Substantial coverage of nights by a group of dedicated nocturnists
Hospitalist team provides 24/7 internal medicine service for patients in the hospital
Modified block schedule or 7 on/off depending on preference and availability
Hospitalists work approximately 2 weekends/month
Good ancillary support ranging from dedicated RNs caring directly for patients to RN Care Coordinators, to Social Workers, Pharmacists, etc. Nearly all specialists are available and practice at Fairview Southdale Hospital, which has a large, independent Medical Staff
Hospitalist office is located within the hospital and call rooms are available
Great technology including fully integrated Electronic Medical Record (EPIC), E-signature medical records and digital PACs imaging system

Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited ACGME Internal Medicine residency training program
Board Certified/Board Prepared with the American Board of Medical Specialties or American Osteopathic Association
Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure
Ability to obtain and/or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota
Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges
