Overview
Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital Heart Institute is looking for a pediatric electrophysiologist to lead its multidisciplinary team. Candidates should be board-certified in pediatric cardiology with at least one additional year of fellowship training in pediatric electrophysiology and preferred eight plus years of experience. The successful candidate will be a dynamic pediatric electrophysiologist proficient in device implantation and catheter ablation who can bring new dimensions to our existing programs. Lead a multidisciplinary team within the Heart Institute. Perform device implantation and catheter ablation with proficiency to advance current programs. Contribute to the development of an accredited adult congenital heart program as workload increases in the coming years. Qualifications
Board-certified in pediatric cardiology with at least one year of fellowship training in pediatric electrophysiology. IBHRE (International Board of Heart Rhythm Examination) certification. Certification as either a CCDS (Certified Cardiac Device Specialist) or CEPSP (Certified EP Specialist Pediatrics) – CEPSP preferred. Eight or more years of experience is preferred. The current faculty includes: three surgeons, four interventional cardiologists, three heart failure/transplant cardiologists, five advanced imaging cardiologists, two electrophysiologists, two adult congenital cardiologists, and one inpatient cardiologist. Current volumes include 90–100 EPS/ablation procedures and 25 device implants in the cath lab per year. The workload is anticipated to increase with the establishment of an accredited adult congenital heart program. Employment and Benefits
