Overview
West Virginia University Health System (SMG) seeks a Hospitalist, Medical Director. The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Charleston, WV. Responsibilities
Oversee the Thomas Memorial Hospital (TMH) Hospitalist Program. Ensure patients receive high-quality treatment and provide oversight related to the delivery of clinical care. Make staffing recommendations to support appropriate delivery of care. Ensure efficient consultation services for TMH patients and streamlined clinical processes. Establish and maintain appropriate clinical treatment protocols and high levels of patient satisfaction and patient safety. Monitor quality metrics as established by WVUHS to ensure appropriate outcome measures. Collaborate with physicians, administration, nursing, and technical staff to maintain excellent clinical care/operations. Develop new clinical programs and innovations to provide the latest clinical technologies and services. Qualifications
MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent; eligible to obtain a West Virginia medical license. Completed Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency. Board certified or eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment. About WVU Health System
