We are seeking a highly experienced General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations and human resources of a trade mortuary company. Responsibilities: Operations
Assure Companies compliance to all federal, state and local laws, regulations. Oversee daily accuracy and required compliance. Supply management. Property and Asset Management of vehicles, machines and facility. Customer relations. Scheduling of viewings and embalmings.
Human Resources
Manage Companies human resources such as onboarding, training, assuring protocol and offboarding. Secure employee records. Handle disciplinary incidents. Payroll - prepare for bookkeeper/accountant. Assure federal, state and local employment laws including mandatory government wage requirements. Update and manage employees' schedules.
Who You Are
Background in small business management with a proven track record of success - preferably in the funeral /mortuary sector. Proficient in internet software (Word, Excel, Google Docs, QuickBooks); ability to troubleshoot technical issues is a must. Experience in inventory management and budgeting. Commitment to maintaining a clean organized environment. Leadership and training skills. Problem solving and project management in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality and attention to detail. Passion for providing exceptional customer service and building strong relationships with customers and employees. Pass a background check. Important but not required: Mortuary/funeral industry experience.

First Call of Colorado, LLC ("First Call") was formed in 2003 to set the standard in mortuary transport. First Call is the largest, longest running, most professional service specializing in transporting deceased from place of death for coroners\' offices and funeral homes. First Call has a fleet of vehicles and a staff of eleven. Funeral Director's Service ("FDS") was founded in 2007 to become the premier third-party trade service providing embalming and cremation services. Crime Scene Cleaners, Inc., Autopsy Center of Colorado, LLC and Mortuus Mortuary Equipment and Repair, LTD, are sister companies related through a common owner. While these companies are based in the same offices, they are more autonomous with their own separate management; however, these are included as part of the "Companies."
