We are seeking a highly capable COMSEC Security Specialist to act as the COMSEC account manager for multiple Government contracts. The role reports to the Vice President of Software and Cybersecurity. Our ideal candidate will have extensive experience implementing Communication Security programs that include key management systems and hardware security to protect secure information. Role
Ensure COMSEC accounts are in strict compliance with physical security, COMSEC record keeping, and proper handling and storage of classified keying material policy and procedures. Responsible for receipt, storage, inventory, transfer, and destruction of all classified COMSEC material, cryptographic keys, and control cryptographic items. Manage the five elements of COMSEC operations: Cryptographic Security, Transmission Security (TRANSEC), Physical Security, Emission Security (EMSEC), and Traffic Flow Security. Collaborate with other security and IT positions including the Facility Security Officer supporting US Government programs. Requirements
Minimum of 2 years serving as a COMSEC account manager in the US military or private industry. Active Top Secret clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). A Special Background Investigation (SBI) is required with favorable adjudication. KMI course certificate. Standardized COMSEC Custodian course certificate. Bonus
Experience as a Facility Security Officer (FSO) or Alternate FSO (AFSO). Completion of standardized FSO training course (e.g., FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities). Knowledge of NISPOM and DCSA security requirements. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. What we offer

Base pay is part of Astranis’ total rewards, which may include equity in the form of incentive stock options, company-subsidized healthcare, disability and life insurance, flexible PTO, 401(k), and on-site catered meals. Salary: $120,000 - $140,000 USD. U.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, or Refugee/Asylee Status Required. This is to comply with U.S. Government space technology export regulations.
