Join a mission-driven, multidisciplinary team at MaineHealth Behavioral Health (MHBH) as an Inpatient Psychiatrist in our 40-bed adult psychiatric unit in Sanford, Maine. We are seeking both full-time and per diem psychiatrists to lead compassionate, team-based care for patients with complex psychiatric and psychosocial presentations. You will work alongside nurse practitioners, social workers, behavioral health specialists, and programming staff in a collaborative environment that values continuity of care, innovation, and work-life balance. Responsibilities
Lead compassionate, team-based care for adult inpatients with complex psychiatric and psychosocial presentations. Shape treatment plans and provide direct therapeutic and pharmacologic interventions. Collaborate with nurse practitioners, social workers, behavioral health specialists, and programming staff to ensure continuity of care. Contribute to a collegial, innovative clinical environment focused on patient outcomes. Qualifications
Graduate of Allopathic or Osteopathic medical school. Completion of internship and psychiatric residency and/or fellowship training. Current or eligible licensure as a physician by the Maine Board of Licensure in Medicine. Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or eligible for examination by the American Board; documented by written evidence. Board Certified or board eligible in general psychiatry. Current DEA Registration Certificate. 3+ years' experience inclusive of residency and/or fellowship training. Meet other credentialing criteria defined in Medical Staff By-laws. About MaineHealth
