Job Title: Licensed Optometrist (Part-Time) – Greenwich, CT 06830
Location: Trapp Optical – Greenwich, CT
Employment Type: Part-Time (3 Days/Week) | Per Diem or 1099 Independent Contractor Considered
Compensation: $89,400 - $99,600 annually based on experience
Trapp Optical is an owner-operated private practice established in 1945, providing medical eye care, comprehensive eye exams, and high-quality eyewear. We have locations in Greenwich, CT, Rye, NY, and Bronxville, NY. We value trust, compassion, and clinical excellence and are looking for a caring, clinically skilled Licensed Optometrist to join our close-knit team.
We are seeking an Optometrist for our Greenwich, CT location.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive eye examinations for vision correction, preventative care, and ocular disease detection.
Diagnose and manage chronic eye conditions such as glaucoma, dry eye syndrome, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy.
Perform contact lens fittings (including specialty and toric lenses), refractive assessments, and binocular vision evaluations.
Collaborate with our optical staff to provide patients with customized prescription glasses and contact lenses.
Use state-of-the-art diagnostic technology to ensure accurate, effective eye health evaluations.
Build lasting relationships with patients by delivering patient-centered care.
What We’re Looking For
Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school.
Must hold or be willing to obtain a Connecticut Optometry License.
Therapeutic licensure required to diagnose and manage ocular disease.
Open to new graduates or experienced ODs who are passionate about private practice optometry.
Excellent chairside manner, strong diagnostic skills, and a warm, engaging communication style.
Comfortable working independently and collaborating with a small, loyal team.
Opportunity to work in our New York locations as well.
