RWA Senior Lead Analyst - SVP

The RWA forecasting team for Recovery and Resolution operates within the Capital Planning group and supports a full spectrum of activities including analytics, regulatory submissions, planning processes, governance, and process improvements. One core mandate is to forecast RWA and SLE for in-scope legal entities for Resolution and Recovery Planning, informing Citi’s capital planning and management activities.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Initiatives & Process Enhancement:
Lead and drive initiatives to enhance methodologies, processes, and governance frameworks for regulatory capital metrics, including overseeing system enhancements and End-User Computing (EUC) maintenance.
Participate in formulating and defining strategic direction for processes, organizational structure, and architectural components related to Capital and RWA Forecasting across Citi businesses, products, functions, and locations.
Design and implement strategic solutions to achieve target state objectives in people, process, and technology.
Financial Analysis & Reporting:
Develop and produce in-depth analytical reports to enhance capability for analyzing weekly and monthly Risk-Weighted Assets (RWA) and Supplementary Leverage Exposure (SLE) Recovery and Resolution results, leveraging data visualization tools such as Tableau.
Analyze macro-economic variables to inform forecasting scenario analysis for stress testing exercises.
Collaborate with Model Life-Cycle (MLE) management, Regional Treasurers, and local finance teams globally to analyze local resolution capital requirements, including capital needs and governance.
Model Development & Oversight:
Provide oversight for the development of capital forecasting modeling solutions, ensuring they undergo review by Model Risk Management (MRM).
Project Management & Compliance:
Manage the direction, coordination, implementation, execution, and control of projects aligned with commitments to Citi's Regulators.
Assess and mitigate risks in business decision-making, uphold the firm’s reputation, and safeguard Citi, its clients, and assets. Drive compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations; adhere to Policy; escalate and report control issues with transparency.
Responsibilities
Execute the formulation and setting of strategic direction for capital planning and management processes, organization, and architecture from the perspective of capital planning across Citi businesses, products, functions, and locations.
Use subject matter expertise to aid revenue areas in improving efficiency, effectiveness, productivity, and controls.
Deliver forecasting and stress testing production processes, oversee workstreams, track deliverables, and address issues before they become material.
Manage analytics including in-depth financial analysis, key risk drivers and sensitivity analysis, and implications for capital, balance sheet composition, and liquidity.
Aid assessment of relevant processes and ensure existence and effectiveness of controls.
Remediate outstanding Regulatory, Risk Management, and Audit Issues.
Identify areas for improvement across the process and maintain a continuous improvement mindset.
Collaborate across teams to identify solutions to business inquiries in a timely manner and own implementation steps to drive issues to completion.
Address complex issues with strategic approaches, balancing competing needs.
Perform other duties and functions as assigned.
Qualifications
10+ years relevant experience.
Strong knowledge of banking products/systems as well as RWA and Recovery and Resolution.
Substantive knowledge of the systems, theories, and practices relevant to the function with practical experience across multiple business cycles.
Knowledge of industry and competitors' products/services to contribute to commercial objectives.
Understanding of strategic direction of the function with solid grounding in the area of expertise.
Working knowledge of capital rules and regulations (e.g., CCAR, Basel III, SR 15-18, 12 CFR 225.8) including rule interpretation and compliance implications.
Excellent communication skills to influence a wide range of audiences.
Able to navigate a large organization to streamline and summarize information and build repeatable processes.
Strong technical problem-solving skills and ability to resolve conflicts and drive solutions with the right team.
Strategic mindset with ability to plan ahead and translate into breakthrough strategies.
Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment and work well in a team.
Education
At a minimum, a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized higher education institution.
