Overview
The M&A Tax Senior is a Talent within the Transaction Advisory Services Tax group. The Senior Associate will help ensure engagements are executed timely, meet client expectations, and support the delivery of the national TAS Tax strategy. The M&A Tax group handles deal structuring, due diligence, post-deal integration, tax attribute management, and opinions and ruling requests. Responsibilities
Support the delivery of TAS M&A engagements to meet client expectations and timelines. Contribute to deal structuring, due diligence, post-deal integration, tax attribute management, and opinions/ruling requests. Collaborate with client service teams to manage multiple engagements. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required J.D., LL.M. in Taxation, and/or Master’s in Taxation (MST) from an accredited college/university preferred CPA License and/or J.D. preferred Experience
Two (2) or more years of relevant experience Software
Strong Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Excellent tax research skills, including mastery of Checkpoint, CCH and/or Lexis Experience managing multiple client engagements and client service teams Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to articulate complex information for negotiation insights Strong self-motivation with the ability to work in a dynamic, time-sensitive environment with changing deliverables Technical competence across multiple US federal, international and state income tax disciplines Working knowledge of non-income based federal, state and foreign tax regimes (e.g., indirect, payroll, property, ad valorem taxes) Understanding of US GAAP, including income tax accounting principles Experience with tax controversy and procedure Ability and willingness to travel, when necessary All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.
