Overview
The Division of Cardiology in the Department of Medicine at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time, non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator to serve as Medical Director, Transplant, and Section Head, Heart Failure, in a nationally renowned cardiovascular institute and heart failure program. Candidates may be appointed at the rank of Associate or Full Professor. In addition to the administrative roles, responsibilities include supporting the inpatient cardiology service and the ambulatory clinic. Responsibilities
Provide leadership in transplant cardiology as Medical Director, Transplant, and Section Head, Heart Failure. Support the inpatient cardiology service and the ambulatory clinic as part of the administrative and clinical duties. Qualifications
Strong background in cardiovascular medicine. Completed ACGME-accredited cardiovascular disease and advanced heart failure fellowship programs. Current board-certification in cardiology and advanced heart failure. Experience in clinical trial leadership with a robust bibliography of peer-reviewed publications demonstrating productivity and ability to obtain extramural funding. Excellent clinician with experience mentoring trainees and junior faculty. Clinician-scientists who integrate clinical expertise and research within the Division of Cardiology are desired.
