Role Overview: GMI Cloud is seeking a creative and data-driven Growth Operations Lead to spearhead the growth of our platform within the developer and AI startup community. This role will drive adoption of our AI infrastructure services by building strong relationships, implementing innovative growth strategies, and fostering a thriving ecosystem. You will work closely with product, marketing, and engineering to acquire, activate, retain, and expand our user base, with a focus on product-led growth (PLG) strategies. Responsibilities
Developer Acquisition & Activation: Develop and execute targeted growth strategies to acquire and activate developers and AI startups on the GMI Cloud platform. This includes identifying key developer personas and their specific needs, and optimizing the onboarding experience. Community Building & Engagement: Foster a vibrant online community by creating engaging content, organizing online/offline events (hackathons, workshops), and building relationships with influential voices in the AI development community. Incentive Program Management: Design and manage incentive programs, such as cloud credit programs, usage-based discounts, and revenue-sharing models, to drive adoption and incentivize usage of GMI Cloud services. API Adoption & Integration: Drive the adoption of GMI Cloud APIs by providing clear documentation, tutorials, and support to developers, and by creating tools and resources to simplify integration, with a focus on ease of use and developer experience (DX). Partnership Development: Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with developer communities, open-source projects, incubators, accelerators, venture capital firms, and other organizations to expand reach and access to the target audience. Content & Education: Work with the marketing team to create and curate high-quality technical content, tutorials, documentation, and educational resources (e.g., webinars, workshops) to empower developers and showcase the value of GMI Cloud services for AI development. Data Analysis & Experimentation: Analyze data on developer behavior, platform usage, and campaign performance to identify growth opportunities, optimize strategies, and iterate on tactics through A/B testing and other experimentation methods. Feedback Loop: Establish and maintain a feedback loop with the developer community to gather insights and inform product development, ensuring our platform meets their evolving needs. Product-Led Growth (PLG): Implement and optimize product-led growth strategies, such as product trials, free tiers, and in-product messaging, to drive user acquisition and conversion. Product Trial & Promotion: Design and execute effective product trial programs and promotional campaigns to showcase key features and drive user adoption, working closely with the product team to highlight new releases. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Marketing, Business, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in growth marketing, developer relations, product marketing, or a similar role, with a focus on technical audiences and product-led growth. Strong understanding of the AI development lifecycle, machine learning workflows, and cloud computing technologies. Proven experience in building and engaging online communities, particularly in platforms like Discord, Slack, or developer forums, and experience organizing developer-focused events. Experience in designing and managing incentive programs to drive product adoption (e.g., cloud credits, usage-based discounts) and a strong understanding of pricing strategies. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and persuasively to both technical and business audiences. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions, and proficiency in A/B testing and other experimentation methodologies. A passion for empowering developers, contributing to the growth of the AI ecosystem, and driving product adoption through innovative strategies. Preferred Qualifications
Active participation in the AI development community (e.g., contributing to open-source projects, speaking at events, writing technical articles). Experience with developer tools and APIs, and a strong understanding of developer experience (DX) principles. Familiarity with marketing automation platforms and CRM systems. Experience with content creation (e.g., blog posts, tutorials, videos) tailored to a developer audience. Knowledge of AI development frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Experience with user behavior analytics tools (e.g., Amplitude, Mixpanel) and product analytics. MBA or a related advanced degree. Details
