Senior Financial Analyst, AWS Data Center Finance – Amazon Web Services (AWS). Join AWS Finance to influence the future of cloud computing products. AWS is a highly reliable, scalable, low-cost infrastructure platform powering enterprise, government, and start-up organizations in over 190 countries. The AWS Infrastructure team provides end-to-end financial support to help drive AWS to be the low-cost provider in Cloud computing and leader in customer experience. This role supports operations, business development, and engineering for data centers and is involved in expanding ML/AI services. This role focuses on delivering financial analysis to enable management to make breakthrough decisions, drive cash flow, and delight customers. Responsibilities
Serve as the key business partner working directly with regional AWS management and internal stakeholders to provide financial recommendations. Structure problems, perform analysis, and present to business partners; dissent when needed while building trust. Report weekly and monthly financial and operating metrics. Manage the financial planning process: model, analyze, and forecast metrics that drive budgeting and business decisions. Be an integral member of the monthly financial close process and perform ad hoc projects and analysis as needed. Analyze business results to identify key takeaways and drive business objectives. Monitor compliance with controls and systems; develop new processes to support fast-growing, global AWS business. Prepare detailed financial models for business segments; drive initiatives and deliver operational efficiencies. Basic Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science). 3+ years of tax, finance, or related analytical field experience. Preferred Qualifications
4+ years of experience participating in continuous improvement projects to scale and improve controllership with measurable results. MBA or CPA. Knowledge of Tableau. Experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and financial systems (Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards). Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and BI. 2+ years applying KPIs to analyses and 2+ years creating process improvements with automation and analysis.
