We’re looking for a strategic, analytical, and detail-oriented Business Insights and Payments Analyst to drive revenue optimization, payment processing efficiency, and data-driven decision-making within PeopleConnect’s subscription-based business.

Responsibilities

Analyze top-line revenue and key business performance metrics, identifying trends and areas for optimization.

Develop and maintain financial models to track and forecast business performance.

Extract actionable insights from large datasets using SQL, Python, and data visualization tools like Tableau.

Define, track, and evolve KPIs related to customer acquisition, retention, LTV, churn, and revenue growth.

Support C-level reporting by delivering insights that drive executive decision-making.

Monitor and analyze payment processing trends, identifying opportunities to optimize approval rates and reduce payment failures.

Develop strategies to improve payment authorization rates while minimizing chargebacks, refunds, and fraud risks.

Proactively analyze fraud trends, implementing risk mitigation strategies and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Work with Finance and Engineering teams to refine payment processing infrastructure and enhance transactional efficiency.

Manage relationships with payment processors, banks, and external vendors, ensuring seamless operations and cost optimization.

Implement automation tools to streamline payment reconciliation, fraud detection, and reporting workflows.

Collaborate with Product and Finance teams to optimize subscription pricing models and improve billing success rates.

Test new payment structures and strategies to reduce churn and improve customer retention.

Analyze customer behavior trends to develop targeted retention and reactivation initiatives.

Develop and track KPIs focused on subscription renewal rates, refund rates, and payment cycle efficiency.

Act as a liaison between internal teams and external payment processors, banks, and legal partners to ensure smooth payment operations and regulatory adherence.

Ensure data integrity and accuracy across business and payment systems.

Work with Marketing, Product, and Engineering teams to align payment strategies with customer acquisition and retention goals.

Stay informed on industry best practices for payments, subscription management, and business intelligence.

Implement automated reporting solutions for real-time visibility into payments and financial performance.

Optimize reporting tools and dashboards to provide clear, actionable insights to executive leadership.

Utilize machine learning models (if applicable) to improve fraud detection and payment forecasting.

Define and track key business and payment KPIs, including payment authorization rates, chargeback and fraud metrics, LTV, churn, and refunds processing efficiency.

Highlight revenue impact of payment optimizations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in business intelligence, financial analysis, or payments analytics, preferably in a subscription-based or SaaS business.

Strong analytical skills with expertise in SQL, Python, Tableau, and Excel.

Experience with payment processing, chargeback management, and fraud prevention.

Deep understanding of BI concepts, including data warehousing, ETL processes, and financial modeling.

Proven ability to analyze large datasets and translate insights into actionable business recommendations.

Excellent communication skills, with experience working cross-functionally with Finance, Product, and Engineering teams.

Highly detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Min: $113,800.00

Mid: $129,000.00

Max: $145,400.00
