Linux Engineer - TS/SCI w/ FS Poly required Base pay range: $150,000.00/yr - $250,000.00/yr. This range is provided by Leading Path Consulting. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more. Responsibilities
The Infrastructure Team Member will be responsible for the implementation, support and maintenance of all aspects of the project's Linux infrastructure. Project infrastructure includes virtual and physical servers and software resources. Monitor health and capacity of Linux systems, troubleshoot resources using Nagios and iLO or iDRAC and VMware host console. Assist multiple development teams with recurring operations and maintenance activities (host creation, system performance issues, hardware issues, general Linux administration support, Centrify/AD support). Coordinate and escort vendors into the data center to replace failed hardware components on Linux systems. Develop and implement new Linux hardware and software capabilities (security enhancements, central logging, resource monitoring and notification, Dev/Ops automation). Participate in accreditation support (scans, automation, auditing) of Linux systems. Provide general Linux system administration guidance and support to multiple development teams (disk management, account creation, design reviews). Create, manage and update Linux servers in cloud environments. Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education, training or work/military experience. Minimum ten (10) years of related Systems and Linux Engineering experience. Prior experience as a Unix/Linux Systems Administrator of Linux, preferably RHEL/CentOS (installation, configuration, upgrades, troubleshooting). Prior experience developing Puppet modules for server builds (Kickstart), and maintenance automation. Prior experience with automation and configuration management tools (Puppet, Ansible). Prior experience integrating automation with TFTP, DHCP and DNS. Experience with Centrify and Active Directory integration and management of Linux groups, accounts and servers. Prior experience working with Linux in a cloud environment and in VMWare/VSphere environments. Direct experience with hardware maintenance and firmware updates for HP DL Series Servers, Dell PowerEdge servers and iLO/iDRAC management. Desired Skills
SQL querying of relational databases (e.g., MySQL). Experience with Nutanix and HPCC technologies. Python and Ansible automation of system administration and configuration tasks. Experience setting up Docker clusters using Swarm and/or Kubernetes. Experience with HP Apollo 4000/2000 systems architectures and Git for Infrastructure code management. Requirements
