Summary: The Vascular Surgery Service at Westchester Medical Center is looking to add a caring and motivated Physician Assistant (PA) to our growing team. This strictly inpatient role is ideal for a PA who thrives in a fast-paced hospital setting, enjoys complex surgical patients, and values collaboration as part of a multidisciplinary team. As a key member of the vascular surgery team, the PA will provide comprehensive care for patients with advanced vascular conditions, from acute admissions to post-operative recovery. Shift/Status: Flexible shifts. Primary schedule: 3-4 days/week
Responsibilities
Management of pre and post-operative patients including wound checks, drain/line management, and vascular access monitoring.
Daily rounding as part of the inpatient vascular surgery team, presenting patient updates, participating in clinical decision making, and operationalizing these decisions to produce exceptional patient driven results.
Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic studies and lab results.
Educate patients and their families about disease progression, surgical recovery, medications, and follow-up care.
Occasional opportunity to assist in operative cases.

Qualifications / Requirements
Board certified Physician Assistant or eligible for NYS license. Ideal candidates will have prior vascular surgery experience; new graduates with high interest and commitment to vascular surgery patients are encouraged to apply.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Willingness to grow with a dynamic inpatient-focused program.
Candidates with active BLS/ACLS certifications.
