Boomerang Healthcare . Base pay range: $155,000.00/yr - $175,000.00/yr. What you will do
Collaborate with a team of physicians to diagnose, manage, and treat chronic pain and work-related injuries. Evaluate and treat selected patients within the designated service area as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA). Perform physical examinations and direct patient interactions (in-person and via electronic means). Coordinate care with department colleagues to meet quality benchmarks and participate in overall patient care orchestration. Be flexible to cover nearby clinical sites to support patient care. Practice under standard procedures for the NP/PA role, consistent with Boomerang Healthcare policy and California Board of Registered Nursing requirements. Adhere to the daily schedule for up to twenty-one patients once fully trained. Conduct age-appropriate assessments, including history taking and physical examinations, per department protocol. See 15-minute follow-up patients in coordination with supervising physicians. See new patient consults in coordination with supervising physicians. Perform office injections (e.g., trigger point injections, knee, shoulder, and bursa injections). Evaluate the need for interventional procedures (e.g., epidural injections, facet injections, steroid joint injections, spinal cord stimulator). Manage patient medication needs, including controlled substances; monitor with Urine Toxicology Tests and state CURES/PDMP records. Collect ongoing data on physiologic, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, and cognitive status; provide education and advocacy for patients and families. Consult with supervising physicians or other clinicians as needed and review medical records for follow-up or ordering diagnostics under established protocols. Maintain communication with other health care providers and departments to ensure efficiency and continuity of care. Establish effective working relationships with health care team members, patients, and families; respect staff rights and cultural/ethical beliefs. Delegate appropriately and coordinate duties of health care team members; evaluate care effectiveness by team members. Demonstrate safety principles and respond calmly in emergencies; document events per protocol. Demonstrate accountability for own professional practice and knowledge of legal issues (patient confidentiality and risk management). Identify and solve problems; maintain a service philosophy in interactions with patients, families, and care team. Proficiently use computers and telecommunication tools to document, track, and convey information. Ability to work at other nearby clinics on an as-needed basis. Qualifications
