Overview
Purpose:
The Manager, Global Demand oversees the forecasting of future product demand across global markets, analyzes market trends and sales data, leads cross-functional teams to balance supply with demand, optimizes inventory levels, and drives overall supply chain efficiency and business growth by ensuring the right products are in the right place at the right time. They manage a team of demand forecasters and analysts, develop strategic forecasting models, and collaborate with sales, marketing, operations, and other departments to align plans and achieve business objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop, own, and maintain the global demand forecast across multiple regions and product categories.
Drive S&OP demand review processes, aligning Sales, Operations, and Finance on a single demand plan.
Manage demand planning across MTO and VMI supply chain models, ensuring appropriate inventory levels and supply continuity.
Apply predictive analytics, statistical models, and market intelligence to improve forecast accuracy.
Partner with Sales, Product Management, and Supply Chain teams to incorporate new product introductions and market trends into forecasts.
Identify gaps and risks in demand vs. supply, escalating mitigation strategies to leadership.
Collaborate with supply planning and client teams in Asia-Pacific, Europe and the United States.
Deliver demand-related KPIs (Forecast Accuracy, Service Levels, Working Capital).
Support digital transformation initiatives, leveraging SAP and advanced planning tools for automation and continuous improvement.
Provide scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, and “what-if” modeling to guide executive decision-making.
Strategic Leadership: Developing and implementing global client service strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Team Management: Overseeing, training, and mentoring a team of client service professionals, ensuring they meet performance standards.
Client Relationship Management: Serving as the primary point of contact for clients, identifying needs, resolving issues, and maintaining strong relationships.
Cross Functional Collaboration: Working with internal international teams, production, marketing and sales to align service delivery with client expectations.
Process Improvement: Monitoring client feedback, analyzing service performance, and implementing improvements to processes and procedures.

Education & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business Analytics, Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of global demand planning experience in a manufacturing environment (medical device, pharmaceutical, or related highly regulated industries).
Strong knowledge of MTO and VMI supply chain models.
Proficiency in SAP or equivalent planning systems.
High-level analytical, statistical, and predictive modeling skills; Excel/Power BI expertise required.
Experience leading S&OP demand planning processes.
Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills; ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage complexity across multiple regions and product lines.
Physical Demands
Tasks in an office environment, involving prolonged periods of sitting and computer use.
Frequent travel which can be domestic or international.
