Overview
Allied Universal is hiring a Custom Protection Officer (CPO) Flex Officer. The officer will conduct armed and/or unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrol (interior and/or exterior). Additional duties include control access and egress; monitor CCTV and alarm systems; compose reports; deter criminal activity and misconduct. The Flex Officer may work at various assignments and may be called upon to work irregular shifts with little to no advance notice.
Responsibilities
Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure authorized removal of property is conducted within client requirements Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders Make productivity and cost reduction recommendations to management Make recommendations for physical security surveys and post orders
Qualifications (must have)
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent Must possess one or more of the following
Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security or related fields Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy or verified work experience in law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighter field Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies Eight or more years of service in any military branch Associate’s degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service
Be at least 18 years of age, or higher if required by the state (21 years if armed) Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only Ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public Effective oral and written communication Problem solving, active listening, and ability to assess and evaluate situations Identify critical issues quickly and accurately; compile, sort, and interpret data Research, investigate, and compile information; mediate conflict with tact Write informatively, clearly, and accurately; teamwork Attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications (nice to have)
Ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese, French, Arabic)
