Federal Protective Services Security Officer - Armed Supervisor Job Description
As a
Federal Protective Services Security Officer - Armed Supervisor , you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Commercial Real Estate, Healthcare, Education, Government, and more. You will work as part of Allied Universal’s FPS operations, ensuring safety and security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities. Key qualifications Must have 3 recent years of armed military, law enforcement, or armed security experience Must have two years of armed supervisor experience Active FPS suitability (preferred) Site is located in Washington D.C. Full-time openings; must be able to obtain FPS suitability (may take up to 60 days) Must be able to obtain and maintain required licensing per state/local laws Responsibilities
Provide customer service to clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter; working environments may vary by client site Minimum Requirements
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience Background check required in accordance with federal, state, and local laws; qualified applicants with criminal histories will be considered in a manner consistent with applicable laws Drug screen required where permitted by law Participate in industry-specific security/safety training programs Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws and may be required prior to employment A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only Perks And Benefits
