The Department of Pathology is seeking an accomplished M.D. or M.D. / Ph.D. to join the team as
Division Chief of Transfusion Medicine
for the Montefiore Health System. Candidates must be board certified in CP or AP/CP and in
Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine
and have laboratory management experience in a multi-site health system. Responsibilities
Direct Transfusion Medicine at the system level, including oversight of blood bank/transfusion services at all Montefiore affiliated hospitals. Coordinate services with other laboratory sections and work with medical specialists throughout the medical system to address institutional needs. Actively participate in hospital committees and teach residents and medical students. Additional responsibilities will be commensurate with training, experience, and academic interest, including participation in translational or clinical research. Qualifications
Applicants must possess or be eligible to obtain New York State Certificates of Qualification for Medical Directorship. Academic appointment to the Albert Einstein College of Medicine is commensurate with credentials and experience. About Montefiore Medical Center

In addition to a competitive base salary of $400,000-475,000, we offer the opportunity to supplement income through short and overnight call, in addition to generous weekend call compensation and productivity incentives.
