Position Perkins Coie is seeking a midlevel associate to join its expanding Emerging Companies & Venture Capital (ECVC) group in the Seattle office. The practice represents innovative companies throughout their lifecycle (business formation, financing transactions, and mergers and acquisitions) as well as the funds that invest in them. Clients range from newly-formed startups to multi-billion dollar technology leaders.

Responsibilities

Support ECVC matters across business formation, financing transactions, and M&A for startups and venture-capital-backed companies.

Collaborate with partners and senior associates on deal strategy, negotiations, and execution.

Manage internal and external client and counsel relationships, and coordinate with cross-functional teams as needed.

Contribute to client service excellence and maintain attention to detail in all work products.

Qualifications

At least two years of Emerging Companies & Venture Capital experience, preferably at a comparable law firm.

Stellar academic credentials and solid references.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Quantitative and Excel skills; ability to analyze information and present findings clearly.

Ability to effectively manage internal and external client and counsel relationships.

Compensation Compensation range: $235,000 to $365,000 annually. Compensation depends on qualifications and experience.
