Our client, a rapidly expanding specialty finance platform, is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead the finance and treasury function for this business line. This is a newly created role reflecting the group’s growth and strategic importance. The CFO will oversee all financial operations, partner with leadership on strategic initiatives, and serve as a key member of the senior management team.
This opportunity is well-suited to either:
A current CFO within financial services (specialty lending, private credit, or debt-focused businesses), or
A strong “next step” finance leader ready to step into their first CFO role.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Oversight
Lead and develop the finance function, including treasury and offshore finance teams Manage two treasury professionals and other finance staff, with responsibility for scaling the team as the business grows. Conduct an initial review of current team structure and implement recommendations, including bringing in additional hires if needed.
Financial Operations & Controls
Oversee accounting, reporting, and treasury functions for the specialty lending business. Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial statements, regulatory filings, and internal management reporting. Partner with the offshore finance team to ensure effective workflow and controls.
Strategic Finance
Provide financial leadership and business insights to support decision-making. Contribute to strategic growth planning, capital allocation, and risk management. Act as a senior advisor on financial performance, KPIs, and efficiency initiatives.
Technology & Process Improvement
Drive adoption and optimization of Microsoft Dynamics and Power BI to enhance reporting, analytics, and automation. Implement best practices in financial processes and reporting.
Qualifications
Proven financial leadership experience within financial services; direct secured-lending or specialty-finance experience preferred but not required. Background in private credit, specialty lending, or debt-focused businesses strongly considered. Track record of leading finance teams, including offshore resources and treasury. Hands-on, detail-oriented operator who is also capable of shaping long-term strategy. Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics and Power BI a plus. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with senior management. This role pays $250,000 - $325,000 Base salary. Corporate Details
