This highly visible role oversees all aspects of patient support services, from HUB operations and affordability programs to adherence/persistence initiatives, caregiver and healthcare professional education, and field reimbursement teams. You will shape and direct internal access-related marketing efforts, ensuring every material, message, and touchpoint reflects our commitment to patients and aligns with Acadia’s broader brand and business priorities. As a member of Acadia’s leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in defining the future of patient access and support, leveraging innovation, data, and technology to create scalable, industry-leading programs that make a tangible difference in people’s lives.

Primary Responsibilities

Leads and directs all patient support services and field reimbursement teams and program operations, including but not limited to HUB partners, fulfilment coordination, patient access program partnerships, and field reimbursement teams (Patient Access Manager (PAM) and Family Support Educator (FSE)).

Works collaboratively across the commercial organization to provide input into patient access related marketing materials for hub and fulfillment models, website, and field reimbursement teams.

Continuously monitors all channels and customers to determine the appropriate level of support and focus.

Coordinates with senior leadership across CIAO, Finance, Legal, Sales, Marketing, Managed Markets, Pricing/Contracting & Trade and other leadership to ensure alignment across all Patient Support Services initiatives.

Leads assessment of industry trends and innovations (e.g., data sources, technology, AI) to design and deploy support services that meet the needs of healthcare professionals, patients, caregivers, and align with Acadia brand priorities.

Partners with stakeholders in the launch of new products.

Directs activities of external suppliers and agencies to ensure projects are on time and within budget.

Cultivates a high-performing team with a practical vision, specific goals, and concrete metrics to achieve revenue and access targets in changing business environments.

Develops business plans and operational targets annually and executes the plan throughout the year.

Develops and mentors team members to support individual and team growth and success.

Oversees personnel actions including hiring, performance appraisals, merit recommendations, and promotions.

Represents the organization to internal and external groups and ensures information about activities and industry trends is accurate and up to date.

Ensures department adherence to company policies, quality system requirements, and legal/regulatory directives.

Other responsibilities as assigned.

Education/Experience/Skills

Bachelor's degree in marketing, healthcare, business administration, or related; Master’s degree preferred.

Minimum of 15 years of progressively responsible experience within sales, marketing, or market access related functions.

Requires 8 or more years in a leadership role.

Experience launching new products and exceeding access and market share goals.

Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategy with a strong understanding of the market and industry.

Proven success building organizations and leading high-performing teams.

Adept at communicating a clear vision among direct reports, aligning resources, and motivating teams to achieve goals.

Analytical abilities with proficient planning and negotiation skills; strong verbal, written, and presentation communication.

Ability to travel approximately 30% of the time domestically.

Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, see, talk or hear in a standard office environment and remotely. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Ability to travel by car or airplane independently overnight up to 30% of the time and work after hours if required by travel schedule or business issues.

Compensation and Benefits Salary Range: $280,000 — $350,000 USD. In addition to a competitive base salary, this position is eligible for discretionary bonus and equity awards based on performance. Actual amounts vary by experience and location.
