Under the general supervision of the Chair of Psychiatry and in direct collaboration with supervising physicians, performs duties across a wide range of clinical tasks. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner''s primary role in the Behavioral Health Department is to provide psychiatric evaluations and consultations in the Emergency Department and on the patient floors. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is an essential member of the Behavioral Health team, committed to providing comprehensive and efficient patient care that delivers the best possible experience and individualized care for adult patients. This position ensures the quality and safe delivery of care to adult patients. Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Advanced Practice Nursing Degree from an accredited school with specialization in psychiatric/mental health nursing required. Experience:
Previous experience required as a psychiatric nurse practitioner, preferably in an inpatient setting. Licensure and/or Certification:
Current license as a Nurse Practitioner in Massachusetts required; National certification as a Nurse Practitioner required for Massachusetts licensure (ARNP); Certification as a PMHNP; BLS healthcare provider required. Skills:
Excellent customer service skills; ability to read, write, and communicate in English; computer skills; ability to maintain confidential information.
