About the Role/Team

WEX is seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Manager to lead our bank's Credit Strategy and Policy framework and oversee all aspects of Factoring Credit Underwriting operations. Reporting directly to the Chief Credit Officer (CCO), this role advances the bank's factoring risk capabilities, optimizes credit processes, and drives operational excellence. You will provide leadership and performance oversight to a team of underwriters, shaping the bank's risk appetite and ensuring the health of our commercial portfolio. Factoring Credit Management & Leadership

Spearhead the daily operations of the factoring credit team, optimizing resource planning and workload distribution to ensure peak performance. Proactively monitor the health of the factoring portfolio through analysis of key risk indicators (KRIs), including charge-offs, delinquencies, and exception trends. Establish and report on team productivity metrics, underwriting consistency, and decision quality to senior leadership. Ensure all factoring credit activities adhere to Board-approved policies and regulatory standards. Foster strong partnerships with business development teams to support sustainable portfolio growth while mitigating risk. Develop and mentor a high-performing team, promoting consistent application of credit policy and continuous professional growth. Enterprise Credit Strategy & Policy

Architect and govern the bank\'s credit risk policies across all products and business lines, ensuring they are robust, well-documented, and aligned with strategic objectives. Drive the design and implementation of critical credit policy changes for new product launches, strategic initiatives, and evolving risk appetite. Serve as the subject matter expert on credit policy, providing clear guidance and training to ensure enterprise-wide understanding and adherence. Conduct analysis of macroeconomic trends and internal portfolio performance to identify emerging credit risks and recommend strategic adjustments. Prepare and deliver presentations on policy updates and credit trends to the Credit Committee and other senior stakeholders. What You\'ll Bring

Bachelor\'s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field preferred; extensive relevant experience will be considered. 10+ years of progressive experience in Factoring, Commercial Credit Risk, or Underwriting. 5+ years of direct people management experience, with a proven ability to lead credit or operational teams. 5+ years of dedicated experience in Credit Risk Analysis and Policy Management (Commercial and Consumer preferred). Knowledge & Abilities

Deep subject matter expertise in factoring, commercial lending products, credit systems, and modern risk management frameworks. Proven expertise in developing and implementing credit policy, conducting portfolio analysis, and managing KPIs. Strong command of applicable banking laws, credit regulations, and operational risk factors within the factoring market. Demonstrated ability to exercise independent risk judgment while building effective partnerships. Experience leveraging third-party credit data from vendors such as D&B, Equifax, and Experian. Technical & Interpersonal Skills

Technical Proficiency: High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel), G-Suite, and Windows OS. Preferred Systems Experience: Hands-on experience with platforms such as PeopleSoft, Cadence/ProfitStars, Moody\'s, Tableau, or SAS is a strong plus. Communication: Excellent ability to communicate clearly and persuasively in complex, high-stakes situations. Leadership

Proven ability to build influential relationships with senior leaders, peers, clients, and vendors, acting with strong judgment and self-direction.
