The Opportunity:
Playing a critical role as a Manager Biospecimen Operations within Translational Medicine, the position provides biomarker operational expertise, develops scope of work, and maintains effective cross-functional relationships for phase three clinical trials. Responsibilities
Operationalize the Program strategies to support early and late-stage development of portfolio assets. Guide Biospecimen Operations Lead on effectively managing early and late stage clinical trials. Train Biospecimen Operations Lead on Informed Consent Form development for all aspects of biospecimen collection. Collaborate with biomarker scientists and clinical operations to ensure successful collection and CDx testing of clinical trial samples. Collaborate with diagnostic partners and internal cross-functional team members to ensure successful management of CDx samples. Work closely with Clinical Operations to meet clinical milestones. Work with biomarker scientists to oversee development of scope of work, budgets, and timelines by CROs across all active studies. Mentor Biospecimen Operations Lead to perform day-to-day operational management of CROs to ensure timely delivery with high quality. Provide program-level updates on major biospecimen management and testing updates to the Translational Medicine team. Qualifications
Life sciences degree (MS or PhD) in scientific, medical, healthcare, or related discipline. 7+ years related professional experience in a clinical research setting or clinical/diagnostic laboratory. Experience in managing/mentoring team members. Prior experience in clinical biomarker operation and/or sample management in phase three clinical trials is highly desirable. Excellent scientific and business communication skills, strong interpersonal/collaboration skills, and planning skills. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint. Experience using Project Management tools is highly desired. Ability to think critically and creatively and work independently to determine appropriate resources for resolution of problems. Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment. Strong teammate who listens effectively and encourages dialogue. The base pay salary range for this full-time position for candidates working onsite at our headquarters in Redwood City, CA is listed below. Our base pay salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location and may be adjusted for the local market. Individual base pay is determined by multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, market dynamics, and relevant education or training. Please note that base pay is one component of the total rewards program, which includes competitive cash compensation, robust equity awards, strong benefits, and opportunities for learning and development.
