Provides leadership for nursing staff and the interdisciplinary patient care team to support high quality care of patients and families. Leads and directs care delivery systems for individual areas within the Heart Center. Utilizes financial data to effectively manage the department operating budget, plan capital expenditures, and formulate a business plan for new programs or services. Leads the application of new knowledge and innovation to advance the Heart Center by building collaborative relationships and knowledge throughout the Center and organizational level to assist with advancement of clinical, quality improvement, lean work, and strategic direction using improvement methodology while supporting the Children\'s Mercy Lean System (CMLS). Qualifications
Acute Care PNP Required upon hire Master\'s Degree required with 5-7 years of nursing/APRN pediatric experience in a specialty area and progressive leadership roles; experience in program development.
Or DNP preferred with 3-5 years of experience as listed above. APRN KS Advanced Practice Registered Nurse licensure APRN MO Advanced Practice Registered Nurse licensure Refer to Nursing and Advanced Practice Provider Licensure and Certification policy for required Life Support Certifications Current Nurse Practitioner certification Immunizations and Employment Conditions
