Works as a key part of the overall Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) group that is the core of the Tranche 3 Program Integration (T3PI) team. Translates system requirements into system architectures that integrate space, ground and end user systems to meet mission needs while considering technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Develops interface control documents and system models that define interfaces between space, ground and end user segments. Ensures segment-level specifications are consistent with system-level requirements. Develops system threads that evaluate and document step-by-step functional behaviors between space, ground and end user elements. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, and trade studies. Works with space vehicle and ground segment contractors to ensure designs meet requirements and interfaces across segments and systems will function properly. Assists with planning and execution of system-level tests and the evaluation of segment-level test plans and execution. Qualifications
Required Education and Experience Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years of relevant experience in Engineering or Engineering Sciences. Additional professional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree. Active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI. Experience developing and/or sustaining high-reliability systems for national security, preferably including space and/or ground systems or space-to-ground integration. Experience with systems engineering involving the integration of complex multi-element systems. Excellent communication and teaming skills. Desired Education and Experience Experienced with fast-paced development programs in the space domain. A high degree of proficiency using one or more MBSE tools to include Cameo Systems Modeler. Experience with space-based tactical communications; missile warning, tracking and defense; or custody of targets from space. Experience with a broad range of system types including custom developed HW/SW, COTS/GOTS HW/SW, and specialty engineering. Experience in Agile methods for program management or software development.
