Position Overview:
Direct of BD, CCUS and Ethanol
We are seeking an experienced
Director of Business Development
in our Carbon Solutions business to drive the growth of our carbon-by-rail initiative, an innovative project that brings together biogenic sources of CO2 to our Wyoming carbon sink. The ideal candidate will have deep relationships in the ethanol industry, develop and execute strategic sales initiatives, build relationships with key accounts, and contribute to the company's revenue growth by promoting our industry-leading transportation and sequestration capabilities.
Remote or hybrid applicants are invited to apply, with an ability to office at our Dallas, New York, or Wyoming locations. The ideal candidate is expected to travel to project sites and industry events.
Frontier Infrastructure Holdings is a leading low-carbon infrastructure developer backed by Tailwater Capital and one of the most advanced CCUS platforms in North America. Frontier has received the first Class VI permits in Wyoming, drilled multiple Class VI wells, and spearheaded the development of the Sweetwater Carbon Storage Hub, a 100k acre sequestration facility in SW Wyoming. Frontier is pioneering a new model for carbon management through Project Sprint to leverage its established rail infrastructure to expand geographic access to sequestration sites without the need for extensive pipeline systems. Captured CO₂ is liquefied and transported by specialized railcars to the Granger Carbon Terminal in southwestern Wyoming, the world’s first large-scale rail-to-sequestration offloading facility.
Key Responsibilities
Work cross-functionally with commercial, technical, financial, and operations teams
Identify and qualify new CCUS opportunities with biogenic sources of CO2
Build and maintain relationships with C-level executives at target clients and potential partners
Collaborate with engineering and project development teams to create customized carbon management and midstream solutions
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
5-10+ years of experience in business development, sales, or related roles in the energy, biofuel, or ethanol sectors
Deep understanding of ethanol and biofuel production process
Experience with agricultural and/or oil & gas contracting models
Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts
