As a data engineer, you have the chance to develop and deploy the pipelines and platforms that make this data meaningful. You’ll help grow Booz Allen’s DataOps capabilities while working with a multi-disciplinary team of analysts, data scientists, developers, and data consumers in a fast-paced, agile environment. We’re looking for someone to work with our clients and meet their mission by developing the next generation of IT Infrastructure. This is an opportunity to work on an internally facing highly visible team that provides senior leadership with reporting and analytics to help chart the future of the enterprise. You will support tactical and strategic data infrastructure, architect data systems, stand up data platforms, build out ETL pipelines, write custom code, interface with data stores, perform ingestion, and deploy models. You’ll share your skills in analytical exploration and examination of data to support the assessment, design, building, and maintenance of scalable platforms, solving our clients’ most pressing challenges. Responsibilities

3+ years of experience writing software in programming languages, including Python, with object oriented programming, and with source control and collaboration software, including Git or Atlassian tools 3+ years of experience with extract, transform, load (ETL) operations, including on-premises or cloud infrastructure Experience managing data objects and data pipelines across multiple environments such as Dev, Test, and Prod Knowledge of relational and non-relational database technologies, including SQL or SparkSQL Knowledge of automation and scripting on Linux or Windows operating systems Knowledge of Tableau, Power BI and best practices for preparing data for data visualization tools Knowledge of data modeling techniques, such as star schema, snowflake, and normalized or denormalized structures, to support analytics and machine learning Ability to leverage AI assisted tools to debug, optimize, and accelerate the software development lifecycle Ability to obtain a Secret clearance Bachelor's degree Nice If You Have

Experience with Databricks Lakehouse Experience with Tableau and or Power BI Row level security Experience developing and presenting complex technical information for both technical and non-technical audiences, and senior leaders Experience in working with integrated groups comprised of data engineers, data scientists, and Business Intelligence Developers Knowledge of Machine Learning techniques and methodologies Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field Cloud development Certification, Databricks, AWS, or Azure Certification Clearance

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including location, the individual’s education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, and contract-specific requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
