Associate Director, Financial Communications
KPMG is currently seeking an Associate Director, Financial Communications to join our Corporate Affairs organization. Responsibilities
Lead strategic direction for internal, financial earnings, and business results communications to key stakeholders; develop overall communications strategies for financial reporting, including firm performance and results for internal and external audiences, aligned with firmwide strategy and goals. Provide trusted counsel to the Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer and senior executives on financial messaging and the connection to firm strategy and narrative; bring new ideas forward based on internal factors and external trends. Develop financial communications materials, including verbal (in-person, video, podcast) and written report-outs to firm partners, regular presentations to the Board and Management Committee, client presentations, and other materials. Collaborate across the firm to ensure consistent and effective messaging to drive the broader firm strategy forward; maintain deep knowledge of financial strategy, competitive positioning, and key initiatives. Build and maintain relationships with financial and business media outlets; identify key moments for media amplification; monitor traditional news and social media to bring external trends and case studies into communications. Ensure adherence to legal regulations and industry best practices in all financial communications; establish best-practice systems and processes for optimizing communications and measure progress to drive outcomes. Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG’s respectful and courteous work environment. Qualifications
Minimum eight years of experience in financial communications, investor relations, quarterly results and financial disclosures. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university. Ability to handle sensitive financial communications in public company contexts and/or within partnership structures; understanding of financial statements, KPIs, and the ability to translate complex data into clear narratives for diverse audiences. Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills; capable of presenting concepts to senior leadership in person and virtually; adept at using AI to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Strategic thinker with experience as a trusted advisor to the C-suite and expertise in developing and executing communications strategies; agency experience and relationships with financial media are a plus. Proven ability to identify issues impacting the firm’s reputation and to manage relationships with stakeholders in a fast-paced environment; demonstrates composure and strategic thinking under pressure. Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future; no sponsorship is available for this role. Additional Information
