Overview
The Director of Creative Video will help lead the video storytelling of NC State Athletics. This position will conceptualize, film and edit professional videos to use on multiple platforms. The Director of Creative Video will serve as the lead for digital production and will interface with various internal and external constituencies including, but not limited to, Athletic Communications, Digital Strategies, Wolfpack Club, and Wolfpack Sports Properties. The department is the NC State University Department of Athletics, working in the External Operations unit within NC State Athletics Department. Production of professional video on social media outlets in addition to in-arena/stadium venues. Work games with assigned team, other athletic events, and work nights/evenings, weekends, and holidays. Conceptualize and lead initiatives that highlight NC State student-athletes. Serve as the staff resource for the latest trends in video style, production, resolution, mobile-compatibility, and strategy. Must be a resourceful and collaborative team leader able to develop strong working relationships both within the team and across campus. Organize all creative video resources and assets for maximum efficiency of content. Must be a great teacher of storytelling concepts and camera shooting skills. Supervision of three employees and student workers. Other responsibilities may be assigned based on the needs of the organization and evolving priorities. Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree and minimum of five years of advanced videography experience with an agency, consumer brand, or sports and entertainment entity. Other Required Qualifications High proficiency of video and motion graphics editing software, including Adobe Creative Cloud Extensive knowledge with Sony FX3 camera systems and Canon lenses Experience leading student or intern programs and building teaching curriculums. Advanced knowledge of video and audio equipment. Ability to work independently, set priorities and think critically. Understanding of marketing and digital strategy, with the ability to incorporate established brand elements into video production. Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience working in college or professional athletic environment preferred. Licenses or Certifications Valid NC Driver's License required Commercial Driver's License required Posting Information
