Job Summary

Greenlight Networks is seeking a dynamic

General Manager – Baltimore Market

to lead the launch and long-term success of our fiber operations in the region. As the local face and operational leader, the GM will combine municipal advocacy, project oversight, community engagement, and team leadership to drive growth and market impact. This role functions as the market-level CEO, accountable for

end-to-end market performance —including build milestones, subscriber growth, customer experience, and financial outcomes. The GM will oversee cross-functional collaboration, commercial enablement, and customer acquisition across both residential and commercial segments. Key Responsibilities

Build strong relationships with local stakeholders, positioning Greenlight Networks as a trusted partner delivering best-in-class internet services.

Act as the public face of Greenlight in Baltimore, representing the company at community events, public forums, and with municipal leaders.

Advocate for local deployment, ensuring timely resolution of permitting and construction challenges.

Monitor and report market metrics, coordinating across internal teams to align resources from construction through customer activation.

Anticipate risks and implement solutions that keep projects on schedule and aligned with strategic goals.

Serve as a subject matter expert on the Baltimore market, providing insights to enhance productivity and shorten project timelines.

Lead in-market teams in a matrixed environment, ensuring alignment with Greenlight’s culture, mission, and operational standards.

Support workforce growth by participating in hiring decisions and justifying new roles based on market needs.

Partner with managers to address employee concerns and foster a high-performance, collaborative team culture.

Coordinate with internal facilities teams to ensure work environments support both employees and customers.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong understanding of telecommunications infrastructure deployment (fiber, coaxial, wireless), permitting, and service activation.

Working knowledge of regulatory processes, utility coordination, and public right-of-way policies.

Proven ability to manage large-scale network builds, with strong project management and communication skills.

Experienced in leading cross-functional and matrixed teams, aligning field and HQ staff to shared goals.

Exceptional relationship-building skills with municipal officials, developers, HOAs, and community leaders.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; able to act decisively using data and sound judgment.

Experience in identifying enterprise, MDU, and commercial partnership opportunities in collaboration with sales/product teams.

Ability to set clear performance targets, monitor results, and hold teams accountable in fast-paced environments.

Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and ethical leadership.

Education & Experience

10+ years

of progressive leadership experience, with at least

5 years in telecommunications or infrastructure deployment .

Bachelor’s degree required ; MBA or related advanced degree strongly preferred.
