– Job ID: 52316 – Location: Chicago, Illinois The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago seeks a full-time non-tenure eligible Clinician educator at the rank of Instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor. The position will be housed within the Department of Surgery, Division of Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago with cross-functional responsibilities. Responsibilities include primary clinical care of scoliosis and spine deformity patients as well as pediatric orthopedic patients with an opportunity for education and clinical research. There will also be an opportunity to lead the growth of Lurie center. Efforts will include time at the main campus of Ann & Robert H. Lurie children’s Hospital of Chicago plus ambulatory satellite clinic locations.

Responsibilities Primary clinical care of scoliosis and spine deformity patients and pediatric orthopedic patients. Educational responsibilities and clinical research opportunities. Opportunity to lead the growth of Lurie center. Work at the main campus and ambulatory satellite clinics.

Qualifications Qualified candidates must have their MD degree; board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery and BC/BE fellowship trained in Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery with a focus in spine surgery.

Compensation and Benefits The start date is negotiable, and the position will remain open until filled. The expected base pay range for this position is $500,000 to $800,000. Northwestern University has provided a pay range representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for the position. The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including years since terminal degree, training, and field or discipline; departmental budget availability; internal comparators; and external market pay for comparable jobs.
