Overview
Enterprise Architect - AI Platforms & Tools — San Diego, CA (Hybrid / Onsite Required) We're looking for an experienced
Enterprise Architect
to help shape the future of our global retail operations through advanced
AI platforms and tools . In this role, you'll design and lead enterprise-scale AI solutions that power critical areas of our business—everything from supply chain optimization and inventory forecasting to personalized member experiences and operational excellence. As part of our enterprise architecture team, you'll collaborate with senior leaders, data scientists, and engineering teams to define the strategy and technical direction for our AI initiatives. This is a highly visible position where your work will have a direct impact on how millions of members around the world shop with us.
Key Responsibilities
Architect scalable AI solutions
to support global retail operations, including inventory planning, pricing optimization, member personalization, and fraud prevention. Develop enterprise architecture roadmaps
for AI platforms, ensuring alignment with company strategy and business priorities. Evaluate and integrate AI technologies and tools
into our data, analytics, and cloud environments to maximize scalability and performance. Partner with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, merchandising, and IT operations, to deliver impactful solutions that drive measurable business outcomes. Establish
governance, security, and compliance standards
for AI implementations, including responsible AI practices. Lead architecture reviews and provide mentorship to engineers and solution architects. Stay current on emerging AI and retail technology trends, providing thought leadership to guide innovation initiatives.
Qualifications
Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred). 8+ years of experience
in enterprise or solution architecture, with at least 3+ years focused on
AI or advanced analytics platforms . Strong expertise with
cloud-native AI technologies
(AWS, Azure, or GCP) and machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, SageMaker, Vertex AI). Experience with modern data architectures and MLOps practices at enterprise scale. Proven track record designing solutions that support
large, complex retail or supply chain ecosystems . Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence senior business and technical stakeholders.
Preferred: Experience with global retail operations, e-commerce, or membership-based businesses. Knowledge of enterprise compliance frameworks relevant to retail, such as PCI, GDPR, or CCPA. Familiarity with real-time analytics and AI-driven demand forecasting.
