Friday/Sunday: 7a–7p, 7p–7a

Coverage Dates

Start Month: July 2025

Estimated Length of Assignment: 1 year

Ongoing assignment through July 2026

New Henderson facility opening: August 2025 (future consideration)

Patient Information

Patient Demographics: All ages; general ED population

Patient Volume/Census: 65 patients/day

Admissions: 10% of total volume

Case Mix: General EM; Ortho, GI, Telepsych, Teleneuro, Telenephrology

Facility Information

No. of Beds in Department: 15 ED beds + 2 Fast Track

EMR System: Epic

Specialty Backup Available: Ortho, GI, Telepsych, Telenephrology, Teleneuro

Support Staff Available: MDs, NPs/PAs

Reason for Coverage: Multi-site staffing expansion across 5 facilities

Facility Sites: Marshall, Kilgore (others open later, e.g., Henderson)

Privileges & Compliance

Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

Temporary Privileges Available: Yes (60+ day process)

Credentialing Timeline: 90+ days

Compensation & Benefits

General emergency procedures required

Job Requirements

Licenses: Active Texas license required

Board: ABEM required for Marshall

DEA: Active DEA Certification

BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS Certifications: Not required for ABEM

BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS: FM/IM

Experience: EM Residency required at Marshall

Other Qualifications: Proficiency in Epic preferred (EPIC test out available)

Duties & Responsibilities

Provide emergency care to diverse patient population

Work across 12-hour or 8-hour shift structures

Coordinate with specialty backup and support staff

Utilize EPIC for patient charting and orders

Participate in onboarding and 12-hour shadowing orientation
